Born in the small, ex-mining village of Garforth in Leeds, Sharon grew up as a shy and quiet child. At high school, Sharon took part in a couple of school productions but acting wasn’t something that she had thought about and a lack of confidence also meant this wasn’t going to be something she pursued.

After leaving high school, Sharon went on to college to study business & administration but left before the end of the course to gain employment. Throughout her working career

Sharon worked in a variety of administrative roles before having her first two children. She then worked as a childminder, to allow her time to be at home with the children. After divorcing her children’s father, Sharon met & married Paul. She went on to have two more children and began working from home. Firstly, selling cosmetics, as a Virgin Vie rep and then, in September 2009, starting her own jewellery making business, Booby & The Beads.

Breastfeeding her youngest daughter had been the inspiration for starting the business and training as a Peer Supporter. By the time her daughter was 4, Sharon had started to gain media attention. She went on to do various interviews, talking about the benefits of Natural Term Breastfeeding, on national and international TV & radio and appearing in various publications. This gave Sharon the bug to want to pursue a career in TV.

Sharon met Eirian because their children went to the same school and Sharon’s third daughter started acting classes. When Eirian mentioned she was starting adult classes, Sharon jumped at the chance and hasn’t looked back since.

She is working towards her certification in Acting for Film & Television, has done a variety of student films and is looking forward to staring as Magatha, the King’s Counsellor, in The Swords of Scavalia (Dark Angel Gabriel Productions Ltd.).

Sharon joins Northern Star Acting as part of the admin/PR team and will be helping with the anti-bullying workshops.
